Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile.
Delhi – Dharamshala (526 Kms / 11-12 Hrs) (overnight journey by bus)
Evening depart from Delhi to Dharamshala by Volvo bus. Dharamshala is the principal township of the Kangra Valley region and is magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar Mountains. Overnight journey in bus.
Day 01: AM: Dharamshala arrival. PM: Local sightseeing tour
Arrive Dharamshala bus Station, pickup and drop to your hotel and check-in. Dharamshala also known as little Lahsa, has been the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. Afternoon leave for Sightseeing covering Mcleodganj, Dal Lake, Dalai lama temple, Bhagsu Nag and Naddi. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: In Dharamshala
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. Visit St. John in the Wilderness, State Museum, War memorial and Norbulingka institute. Rest of the day at leisure or you can visit local market. Overnight at hotel
Day 03: In Dharamshala – Kangra and Masroor temple Excursion
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Kangra visiting Kangra fort and Brajeshwari devi temple. Later continue towards rock cut temples of Masrur. These temples are unique in the entire Himalayan region and comparable to the monolithic temples of Mahabalipuram, Ellora and Dhamnar caves. Evening return back to Dharamshala. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: AM: Palampur excursion. PM: Departure
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Palampur visiting Chamunda devi temple and tea gardens. Afternoon return back and check-out from hotel and drop to bus station. Evening depart to Delhi by AC Volvo bus. Overnight journey in bus.
