Triund is located at a height of approx. 2,842 mtrs above sea level and with a distance of about 10 kms from McLeodganj. During your trek, you can see the snow birds and wild animals like musk deer etc. Once you reach the top of Triund you will find yourself standing in front of the mighty Dhauladhar (the mountain peak of Dhauladhar is at an altitude of about 4,800 meters from sea level).

Day Hilke Starts now..

We start from McLeodganj after early breakfast and walk through the mixed forest of Rhododendron and Deodar trees. This is the most famous day hike of Dharamshala with beautigul views. The trail is well marked all the way up to Triund. From McLeod Ganj it is 3/4 hours steep ascent to Triund. Small tea shops on the way can provide good refreshments. Triund is an alpine meadow situates atop a flat ridge with fine views of peaks of Dhauladhars on one side an Kangra valley on the other side. After light lunch at Triund start descending to McLeodganj.
